Hudson County’s Artie Lange Stabs Self According to Hoboken Police Department

artie-langeArtie Lange  makes us laugh every day on the Howard Sterns’ Sirus Radio show with his on air antics, but it seems some sad, and obviously emotional off air antics has the talened comedian and actor seriously trying to hurt himself.

Hoboken police  have confirmed that Lange apparently stabbed himself nine times last Saturday morning leaving knife wounds to his stomach at his luxury condo in Hoboken, New Jersey. A reason has not been given for Mr. Lange stabbing himself, but according to neighbors; Lange, has had some problems that has resulted in some stays at Rehab clinics.

American Cancer Society -Relay for Life – Makes Plea At Recent Bayonne City Council Meeting

gail-godesky-new-addressing-bay-city-council1At a recent Bayonne City Council meeting Gail Godesky Publicity Chairwoman & Sponsorship Chair for the American Cancer Society’s -Relay for Life addressed the Bayonne City Council in asking for the fee to be waived for the use of Ahern’s Veteran Stadium in Bayonne for the 201o Bayonne Relay For Life -which is tentatively scheduled for June 11- 12th, 2010

In her address to the Bayonne City Council, Ms. Godesky had this to say after addressing each of the council-members in attendance…

 “My name is Gail Godesky; I am born and raised in a great city-Bayonne. As some of you know my sister Lori Starke passed away at 49 years old on February 22nd, 2008 and my mom Lorraine Godesky at the age of  77 passed away February 17th, 2009 from the terrible disease we call cancer for lack of a better word and from a disease that kills and not quietly but rather angrily.

Cancer shows no preference-it has struck old, young, mothers, father’s, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and dear friends.

 Higher Business Meal Tax Deductions Can Translate into More Jobs

 

HOBOKEN, NJ (December 2009) – Chris Onieal, owner of Onieal’s in Hoboken, NJ and a member of the New Jersey Restaurant Association (NJRA), is one of thousands of restaurant owners who say the limited tax deductibility of business meal expenses is eating into their profits.

            Onieal and others are driving a national movement to restore tax deductibility for business meals and entertainment to its former level. In 1986, Congress reduced the allowable tax deduction from 100 percent to 80 percent. Congress further reduced the deduction to 50 percent in 1993. Holy Rosary Church Downtown Jersey City to Celebrate the First Mass of Christmas at Midnight In Latin

Holy Rosary  is  the Oldest Established Italian Parish in New Jersey

Holy Rosary Church has announced plans to celebrate a Traditional Solemn High Mass on Christmas Eve at Midnight. 

The Traditional Mass or the Extraordinary Form as Pope Benedict XVI identifies it in his Apostolic Letter “Summorum Pontificum” is celebrated in Latin according to the Missal of 1962.  This missal was issued under Blessed John XXIII and remained in use until some years after the conclusion of the Second Vatican Council. 

A prelude of seasonal music by Herbeck, Praetorius and Victoria will be performed by the Holy Rosary Choir preceding the mass at 11:15 pm.  During the mass the choir under the direction of Harold Bott will sing the Mass in G by Schubert accompanied by organ and strings. The Holy Rosary Schola will sing the Propers of the Mass in Gregorian chant from the Liber Usualis. Tammy Blanchard Co-stars in new Lifetime Movie-AMISH GRACE

tammy-b-headshot1Tammy Blanchard co-stars with Kimberly Williams-Paisley, & Matt Letscher in Amish Grace,  Lifetime Movie Network’s tele-movie which explores the aftermath of the 2006 schoolhouse shooting in a Pennsylvania Amish community. The movie has begun production December 2009 in Los Angeles.

Ms. Blanchard’s role is that of Marie Roberts; widow of Charles Carl Roberts the shooter of the Pennsylvania schoolhouse.

The Nickle Mine, Pennsylvania schoolhouse shootings received world wide  attention not only for the depth of the tragedy but because of the reaction of the Amish leaders’ who forgave the shooter and his widow wife.

Ms. Blanchards acting roles include: In 2009 co- starred in  “Rabbit Hole” about a  happy couple who’s life is turned upside down after their young son dies in an accident. Co-starring with Nicole Kidman as Ms. Kidman’s sister in David Lindsay-Abaire Pulitizer Prize winning play brought to the big screen. Also appearng in the film is Aaron Echhart, Diane Wiest and Giancarlo Esposito. A 2010 release of the film is in the works.
