Standing amongst the rubble of an old abandoned lot, photographer Joe Frazz takes out his camera and clicks away at a dog that walks anxiously over the rubble looking for food. This particular moment that Frazz points and clicks with his camera, is a moment that some would probably take for granted, but for Frazz it’s a moment that may help. Stained-Glass Windows Find New Home at Holy Name Mausoleum In Jersey City

sacredheart_84_300_95Restored artwork preserves faith within Hudson County Community

Thirteen stained-glass windows will be unveiled in their new home at the Holy Name Mausoleum in Jersey City on Saturday, November 6th. These artifacts, which are valued over $525,000, were removed from Saint Boniface Parish Church and have undergone a rigorous restoration, uncovering the true beauty of their nineteenth century craftsmanship.

“These fragile artifacts represent how our community has expressed its faith over the years,” said Andrew Schafer, Executive Director, Catholic Cemeteries, Archdiocese of Newark. “While the stained-glass pieces have a significant monetary value, they hold an even stronger sacramental worth to the Catholic Church and its generation upon generation of followers in Hudson County.”

Dave  and his sister Anne Marie carved a niche on Grove Street with their handsome little restaurant, The Merchant, where the bar is cozy, the drinks are yummy and the food is All-American delish! It’s a great place to go for a business luncheon, watch a game or hang out with your friends and talk about life.

Dave and Anne Marie decided to try something a little more upscale and 2-1/2 years ago they opened The Embankment, a beautiful fine-dining restaurant nestled in the heart of 10th Street in the Hamilton Park neighborhood, where friendly neighbors drop by for brunch, dinner and drinks with friends.

“To Park or not to Park”

Hudson Transportation Management Association’s Joins Salute to World Parks in Newport Waterfront Area in Jersey City, NJ

What’s the saying… “All the worlds a stage.” On Friday September 17th in the Newport  waterfront section in downtown Jersey City, the Hudson Transportation Management Association used two parking spaces to prove that point.

Joing a world salute to parks, the HTMA , placed the Actors Shakespeare Company of New Jersey City University pictured above between two parking spaces on Town Square Place  and Pavonia area to show that land used for parking is actually valuable real estate that could be used for public theater, parks, community uses and other events.
