River View Observer Best Pick for Pet Care: Dogtopia-“Doggie Daycare in Bayonne, New Jersey at Its Finest”
By Evelyn Bonilla
Owners of New Jersey's First ever Dogtopia Franchise Donna Ostrowski and Elise Tomczak
Bayonne residents Donna Ostrowski and Elise  Tomczak have been caring for animals for many years. Ostrowski has been caring for animals since childhood and Tomczak a lab technician in the healthcare industry is an avid dog lover. The two have worked hand in hand, in and in-house pet care business so they can empathize with the importance of having to trust someone with one of their own.
While working in their in-house pet care business, they noticed a demand from owners looking to find quality care for their pet dogs, so together they decided to find a concept that would offer them the opportunity to help. In their search they came across a franchise entitled “Dogtopia”, founded in 2002 by Amy Nichols, Tomczak and Ostrowski decided that this is what would fulfill the demand.
Hudson County has become a haven for artists . On any street, at any given time, you’ll never know what art medium might be staring you in the face. Like this graffiti figure staring from behind bushes on Rt. 440 in Bayonne.
Â
or how about this one …
Here an artist has planted Coors Light Bottles to look like a hostas plant.
To bad it wasn’t Bud Light -then we could call this photo…
 “This Buds for you.”
At left a bearded performance artists is seen juggling on Avenue C, in Bayonne.
As we discover newly created art on the streets of Hudson County will post them here for you to enjoy.
You know you are from Jersey City if you remember…
I received  this in an email today. My Jersey City friends may remember many of the places and things. Have fun, I did.Â

Bayonne, New Jersey resident Ron Inglesias celebrates Spain’s World Cup win on Sunday by running through the street of Bayonne. Captured here by our River View photographer Ingelisas proudly poses with Spains Flag.
Today Spain became the eighth nation ever to win the World Cup, The win came over the Netherlands in a 1-0 extra time final score.
Spain’s game plan, and their relentless passing wore down the Dutch defense giving Spain the win in Spain’s only World Cup Final.
Leaving  four minutes of extra time left, the goal that secured the World Cup win for Spain came in the 116th minute of play. Fernando Torres shot rebounded off the head of a Dutch player and fell to the feet of Spain’s Cesc Fabregas, who passed it to Andres Iniesta. In the only goal of the match, Iniesta calmly took the ball and shot it past the Dutch goalie.
Now World Champions, Spain’s “Red Fury” has lived passed their reputation as underachievers in big tournaments to bring Spain and its people the World Cup Championship.
