Joe Pantoliano is a beloved and renowned American actor of the screen and stage. He has over 200 credits to his name. On the big screen, Joe is known for his roles in such films as “The Goonies,” “La Bamba,” “The Fugitive,” “The Matrix,” “Memento,” and the “Bad Boys” trilogy. Joe has also appeared on numerous television series over the years, including “Hill Street Blues,” “NYPD Blue,” “The Sopranos,” and “Sense8.”

Some of his best career roles include Ralph Cifaretto on The Sopranos, Bob Keane in La Bamba, Cypher in The Matrix, Teddy in Memento, Francis Fratelli in The Goonies, Guido “the Killer Pimp” in Risky Business and Jennifer Tilly’s violent mobster boyfriend Caesar in Bound. He also played Deputy U.S. Marshal Cosmo Renfro in both The Fugitive and U.S. Marshals.

?Joe won an Emmy in 2003 for Best Supporting Actor for his work on The Sopranos. He was also recently nominated for an Emmy as an Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for The Last of Us.

He is often referred to as “Joey Pants,” because of the difficulty some people have pronouncing his Italian surname Pantoliano.

Joe was born on September 12, 1951, in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Italian-American parents Dominic and Mary. His father was a factory foreman and hearse driver, while his mother was a seamstress and bookie.

As a youth, Joe moved with his family to the New Jersey borough of Cliffside Park, where he went to Cliffside Park High School. Later, he studied at the performing arts organization HB Studio in New York City.

Joe will be interviewed by his daughter Daniella, a Hoboken girl who was raised on her Dad’s tales of growing up here. Daniella is now proud to call Hoboken home for over a decade. She serves as a teacher at a local school, the Hugs and Bugs Club.

We are very excited for this episode. Please tune in on November 20th

Thursday, November 20, 2025 Barsky Annex Debut of New exhibition by Scott Harbison

A quick note because something special is happening tonight at the Barsky Annex.

Barksy’s is debuting a brand-new exhibition by Scott Harbison, one of the most rapidly collectible artists in the area. His bold, character-driven works have been gaining real momentum among collectors – and tonight is your chance to preview the newest pieces first, meet Scott in person, and feel the energy behind the work.

This new series is electric: raw gesture, emotional intensity, and a whimsical cast of creatures expressed through a visual language that is unmistakably his.

    Meet the Artist: Scott Harbison
    Tonight, 6 – 9 PM
Barsky Annex – 46 Newark Street, Hoboken

Free to view, space is limited
Stop in, enjoy a relaxed evening with the artist, and get first access to the work.

About the ArtistScott Harbison is a self-taught artist based in Jersey City, known for his bold, whimsical, character-driven paintings. Raised in northern New Jersey, he grew up sketching and getting lost in cartoons – early influences that shaped the playful, off-kilter world found in his work today.
As a teenager, Scott poured his creative energy into music, fronting punk bands and performing at iconic New York venues like Max’s Kansas City and CBGB’s. That raw, expressive spirit now runs through his paintings: loose gestures, quirky figures, and a visual language that feels spontaneous and alive.
Scott returned to painting full-time in 2018, developing a steady, instinctive practice where creatures and characters emerge quickly from bold lines and immediate mark-making. His figures often feel mid-gesture or mid-story, inviting viewers into a world that is humorous, emotional, and slightly surreal.
    .
His work has been exhibited at Akwaaba Gallery in Newark, Gallery Lucida in Redbank, Ivy Brown Gallery in Manhattan, Barsky Gallery in Hoboken, and various other contemporary spaces throughout the tri-state area. In 2022, he completed a residency at ESKFF/Mana Contemporary.Scott now lives and works in Jersey City. His newest work is available through Barsky Gallery

.About Barsky AnnexBarsky Annex is a satellite exhibition space of Hoboken’s Barsky Gallery, dedicated to supporting local artists through solo exhibitions. Located on a highly trafficked street near Hoboken’s transportation hub, the Annex provides a platform for fresh, experimental, and boundary-pushing work, fostering connections between New Jersey artists and the local community. For more information about the exhibition or the Meet the Artist event, please contact Barsky Gallery at hello@barskygallery.com.

     Distinguished Service Award.

Hudson County Community College (HCCC) is celebrating 50 years of preparing students to achieve their dreams and partnering with business leaders and the community to develop groundbreaking programs.

The HCCC Foundation has announced that it will hold its 28th Annual Gala on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 6 p.m. The event will take place in the College’s Culinary Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City, NJ. The evening will highlight five decades of progress in supporting and educating generations of HCCC students. Exceptional cuisine and desserts prepared by the HCCC Culinary Arts program’s chef professors and students will be served.

The HCCC Foundation will present the 2025 Distinguished Service Award to Provident Bank in recognition of its two decades of support to the College and the HCCC Foundation. Provident Bank was the recipient of the Foundation’s inaugural Distinguished Service Award in 2005.

“We are proud to celebrate the evolution of Hudson County Community College, our Foundation, and our partnerships,” said HCCC President Dr. Christopher Reber. “One of the most important partnerships we have is with Provident Bank. Thanks to their generosity, the lives of hundreds of students have been transformed over the years.”

Among Provident Bank Foundation’s generous contributions to the College is a $100,000 Education Signature Grant investment that benefited 400 students in the award-winning Hudson Scholars program. Launched in 2021, the nationally recognized program drives student success through proactive academic advisement, financial stipends, high-impact educational experiences, and early academic intervention.

“Provident Bank is deeply honored to receive the Distinguished Service Award from the Hudson County Community College Foundation,” said Anthony Labozzetta, President & CEO of Provident Bank. “For more than two decades, we’ve been proud to partner with HCCC in its mission to expand access to education, support student success, and strengthen the communities we serve. As HCCC celebrates 50 years of impact, we look forward to continuing our partnership and helping ensure all students have opportunities to achieve their goals.”

HCCC started as a one-building “contract” college upon its founding in 1974 and today has grown to become one of the largest, most comprehensive colleges in New Jersey with three state-of-the-art locations in Hudson County. Through the years, many thousands of students have said, “Hudson is Home!,” and have graduated and gone on to new successes. HCCC continues to build on its progress, meeting the challenges ahead as Hudson County grows and transforms.

The HCCC Foundation was established in 1997 to support and promote the College and its students by building awareness campaigns and developing financial resources. The Foundation ensures Hudson County residents are allowed to acquire a college education and enjoy the lifelong benefits it provides. The HCCC Foundation generates scholarships for students, seed money for new and innovative programs, stipends for faculty development, capital to assist the College in physical expansion, and resources to address basic needs of students and community members beyond the classroom.

Tickets to the 2025 HCCC Foundation Gala may be purchased online at https://www.hccc.edu/community/foundation/events/gala.html.

NJ Transit to Take Over Bayonne Broadway Bus

    Route Effective December 1, 2025

NJ Transit has advised the City of Bayonne that it will assume operation of the Broadway Bus route in Bayonne effective Monday, December 1, 2025.  Earlier this month, Emil Massa, President of Broadway Bus, advised the community that the private bus company would cease operations.  His company will operate the Broadway Bus route through Sunday, November 30.

Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis said, “I would like to thank Emil Massa and his predecessors for their long service to the community with the Broadway Bus.  I would also like to thank NJ Transit for taking over the route, so that bus service will continue for the senior citizens, shoppers, students, workers, and others who use the Broadway Bus.”

According to information provided by NJ Transit, after it assumes management of the Broadway Bus route on December 1, the hours of operation will be weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and weekends from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Service will be every thirty minutes during those hours of operation.

Mayor Davis concluded, “Bayonne has a long tradition of being a convenient community with several transportation options.  I am glad that tradition will continue. NJ Transit will now be providing bus service on Broadway, Avenue C, and Kennedy Boulevard, in addition to its Light Rail service with four Bayonne stations.  Soon, New York Waterway will offer ferry service between Bayonne and Manhattan.  The return of ferry service to Bayonne will make our community an even more convenient place in the heart of the metropolitan area.”

NJ Transit is a public transportation corporation that was established by the State of New Jersey in 1979.  NJ Transit began by managing bus lines that had been operated previously by the Public Service Enterprise Group, the parent company of PSE&G.  In 1983, NJ Transit took over several passenger rail lines in the Garden State from Conrail, which wanted to focus on operating freight trains.

Today, NJ Transit operates bus, commuter rail, and light rail services.
