Library Gives Patrons 2 Weeks in December for Fine Amnesty

 Feeling that pinch, from lack of funds? In mid-December, the Jersey City Free Public Library will offer a break in the form of Fine Amnesty to all Library users.   

For only two weeks – Monday, December 7th through Saturday, December 12th AND Monday, December 14th through Saturday, December 19th  – all fees and fines will be forgiven when the library system receives all library books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes and other library materials. The Jersey City Free Public Library will host the Digital Bookmobile, an immersive download experience inside a 74-foot, high-tech tractor-trailer, on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13TH at the Main Library, MERCER STREET (between Jersey Avenue & Barrow Street), from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Readers of all ages are invited to engage digital downloading through interactive demonstrations and experience Jersey City Free Public Library’s audiobook, eBook, music, and video download service at this free event.
