Fulop and the Jersey City Depatment of Health and Human Services, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, will mark the opening of enrollment for 2015 coverage under the Affordable Care Act at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at City Hall, 280 Grove Street. Jersey City’s Christ Hospital Expands Smoke Free Policy

The event also served as the kick-off towards the hospital becoming a totally smoke-free environment by June 2010.

Each year cigarette smoking accounts for approximately one of every five deaths, or about 438,000 people. While smoking is the number one cause of preventable death in the United States, it costs billions of health care dollars every year.
