Hudson County Community College to Hold Information Sessions for College Graduates Interested in Becoming Teachers

 JERSEY CITY, N.J. / June 23, 2011 – Hudson County Community College is continuing to conduct information sessions to acquaint college graduates with a program that will enable them to become licensed teachers. The next session will be held on Tuesday, July 12, at 6 p.m. at the College’s Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City. Please pre-register by calling HCCC’s Non-Credit Office at (201) 360-4255.

Hudson County Community College to Hold Information Session for College Grads Interested in Becoming Teachers

The session will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25 at the College’s Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH transportation center. Hudson County Community College Beta Alpha Phi Honor Society Holding Autism Awareness Fundraiser

April 24 Luncheon Will Benefit the Nonprofit, Autism New Jersey; HCCC Professor Salim Bendaoud, a Neurosciences Specialist and Parent of an Autistic Child, Will Deliver the Keynote Address

 JERSEY CITY, N.J. – New Jersey has the distinction of having the highest autism rate in the country, and while awareness of autism spectrum disorders is growing, it is happening very slowly.

To provide area residents with more information on autism spectrum disorders, and to raise funds for New Jersey’s largest non-profit autism network, Hudson County Community College’s Beta Alpha Phi chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society will hold a luncheon, “Raise Your Fork Against Autism,” on Saturday, April 24 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in the College’s Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Station in Jersey City. Tickets for the event are available at $45 each – $23 of which is tax deductible. (Checks should be made payable to the Hudson County Community College Foundation.)   Confectioner extraordinaire Buddy Valastro, the accomplished fourth-generation baker and the owner of Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop in Hoboken, will be the first speaker in this season’s free Lecture Series at Hudson County Community College. Mr. Valastro will appear on Thursday, November 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the College’s Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street – two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Station in Jersey City. Hudson County Community College Honors Students’ Achievements and Excellence at Annual Awards Ceremony

Students Were Recognized for Academic Accomplishments, Leadership and Community Service at Festivities on Monday Evening

Hudson County Community College President Dr. Glen Gabert said that students were recognized with scholarships and awards at the College’s 2009 Student Achievement & Excellence Awards Ceremony on Monday evening, May 4. The festivities were held in the Banquet Room of the HCCC Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center.
