Garry Brooks Faulkner, 52, of California was arrested on Monday in the Bumburat Valley of Pakistan, near the border with Afghanistan . He had arrived in the region on June 3, marking his third trip to Pakistan in the last 5 years. At the time of his arrest, Faulkner was armed with a pistol, several rounds of ammunition and a 40-inch sword that he said he brought with him from California.
