Event in Bayonne on Saturday, September 29

Mayor Mark A. Smith advised Bayonne residents that the Hudson County Improvement Authority (HCIA) is holding a free, mobile paper shredding event in Stephen R. This event is for residents’ personal documents, and not for businesses. Those bringing documents may watch as their documents are shredded, or they may drop off documents and depart. Smith said, “I would like to thank the HCIA for offering this shredding event again at a Bayonne location. I urge residents to take advantage of this useful service provided by the Hudson County Improvement Authority.”

Anyone carrying documents for the mobile shredding event should enter the park at 37th Street and Kennedy Boulevard, drive down to the parking lot, and look for the HCIA vehicles and equipment.

Hudson County’s HARTZ MOUNTAIN INDUSTRIES IS AMONG TOP 20 LARGEST COMMERCIAL SOLAR POWER USER IN THE U.S.

SECAUCUS, NJ – Sept. 24, 2012 – A recent report by the Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA) and the Vote Solar Initiative (Vote Solar), lists Hartz Mountain Industries among the top 20 commercial solar power users in the U.S. alongside some of America’s most iconic brands and biggest businesses including WalMart Stores, Kohl’s and IKEA.

Hartz ranked 19th in the report based on the five solar systems for which Hartz is the direct user of the electricity generated. However, supplementing this total with an additional 10 systems for which Hartz’s tenants are the direct users of the electricity generated would have moved Hartz’s ranking to 9th place, and the addition of Hartz’s 8.5 MW Solar Farm in Hamilton, NJ would have increased Hartz’s ranking to 5th place.
