12th Annual Jersey City Jazz Festival Announces Lineup for May festival

Riverview Jazz, the non-profit producer of the Jersey City Jazz Festival, has just announced the lineup for its ambitious 2025 festival. The annual event where hundreds of musicians perform for thousands of attendees will take place on Friday, May 30, beginning at 6 pm, and Saturday, May
31 at Exchange Place plaza on the Hudson River waterfront from noon to 9 pm. The festival will also host events throughout Jersey City leading up to the festival beginning Tuesday, May 27.

 Theater troupes have a passion for costumed period pieces and the Bayonne Theater Company has gone back to the Middle Ages to bring Boho residents and visitors some rollicking medieval fun.

The 2nd annual Bayonne Renaissance Festival happens Sat, July 22nd from noon to 7 pm and much of the entertainment is a step back in time. The Windwill Alliance will also host the following events: Basketball Throw in front of Highways Store, Pumpkin Painting on the Trinity Parish Lawn, The Windmill Center Bake Sale, Basket Raffles.

The residents of Bayonne came out in numbers on Saturday October 18th, 2014 for the Bayonne Bergen Point Fall Festival.
The first festival for Bayonne in a few years and one that Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis and Bayonne Urban Enterprise Director Terrence Malloy and the Bergen Point Merchants felt the city should have.
The festival featured music, entertainment,great food, inflatable rides,balloon sculpture and much more

JERSEY CITY INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION & FILM FESTIVAL –OPENING NIGHT FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17th, 2014

JCTFJersey City, NJ-  On October 17, the Jersey City International Television and Film Festival will celebrate its Opening Night at Parlay Studios in Jersey City with a Red Carpet Reception from 6:00-7:00 pm, with Mayor Steven Fulop in attendance, as well as Jersey City and Hudson County dignitaries, filmmakers and fans of the cinema. Immediately following the reception, the evening’s screening will begin at 7:00 pm. The screenings for the Opening Night event are – Birdwatching in Jersey City, a beautiful documentary by the acclaimed filmmaker John Dunstan, a Jersey City resident. The second film is Opening Eyes through Opera about a local singer, Giselle Bellas who wants to reach young people through the joys of opera and the touching short film, Dollar Night, by Marco Antonio Martinez, which gives audiences a look at the hardships faced by old-time projection theaters being replaced by digital. The night included Fashion guru Tommy Hilfiger, acclaimed actor Paul Sorvino and host of other film producers, actors, writers many who have submitted films to this years 2014 festival.

Actor and founder of the GDIFF Bill Sorvino hosted the event introducing Hilfiger.

A Comedian And A Dog Walk Into A Bar… 5th Annual Hoboken Comedy Festival Supports the Liberty Humane Society for Seven Days.

Curb your dog and your sense of humor this Fall as the Hoboken Comedy Festival takes over Hoboken, New Jersey for the Fifth year in a row to bring consummate funny makers and raise money for a local dog shelter.

Comedian and Dog Lover Dan Frigolette started the festival in 2010 with the hopes to bring Comedy to Hoboken for one laugh filled weekend in town. Since 2010 the Festival has exploded, with aspiring comedians submitting for the festival in the hundreds, and the event has grown from three days to seven in 2014.

The Festival takes place Monday September 29th through Sunday October 5th over ten shows with zero repeated comedians. Each show features its own amazing lineup of comedians. All told the event will showcase nearly 100 jesting giants.
