Director James Pustorino says;
“This is the third annual BIG SMALL SHOW at Drawing Rooms. Our biggest exhibit of the year includes 80 artists from the NY/NJ metropolitan area. Our goal is to create a show with a large array of innovative and exceptional new paintings, drawings and 3-dimensional works to produce an exhibition that surveys recent art in our area.
For THE BIG SMALL SHOW we make full use of our multi-gallery room format to gather a group of small works from each artist, grouping them in context together with one another, creating visual, formal and conceptual connections, amplifying themes and deepening ways of understanding the works. Curator Anne Trauben has connected with many artists new to us for this exhibition along with artists who are part of our year-round community. Many of the artists in the show as well as other artists invited from the community have donated a work to the art auction that accompanies the exhibit.â€
“In time for THE BIG SMALL SHOW, we are publishing Victory Hall Yearbook catalogue spotlighting all of our 2015 arts projects. Many local businesses are showing support by sponsoring an ad in the catalogue. The Yearbook will be featured at DRAWING ROOMS’ public events and on-line. “ Contact “email@example.com” to become a sponsor!
The Big Small Show continues December 12 through February 6. Gallery is open Thursdays and Fridays 4 to 7pm, Saturdays and Sundays 2 to 6pm. Admission is always free.
