Kearny, NJ – Mark Griffith, a jazz drummer with twenty successful years on the New York and New Jersey music scene, will join bassist Calvin Hill and saxophonist Bob Ackerman in a tribute to jazz great Joe Henderson to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Hudson County (HFHHC) and the West Hudson Arts and Theater Company (W.H.A.T). The tribute will be held at the W.H.A.T. theater, 131 Midland Avenue, Kearny, on Friday, March 8, 2013. The show will also feature local jazz saxophonist Jake Thibault, who will perform with Joel M. Condon, Kurt Moreton and Matt Olsson. The show will be emceed by local jazz aficionado Jack Silbert, a local jazz aficionado, will emcee the show. Doors will open at 7pm, with the first performance starting at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 and are available through W.H.A.T.’s website www.whatco.org, by phone: 201-467-8624, and at the door on the night of the show. NJ Spark Summit heading to Hoboken September 13th
 HOBOKEN, NJ: In less than one  week  some of the region’s savviest minds will come together to spark the innovation flame. The NJ Spark Summit, taking place on September 13th at Steven’s Institute of Technology in Hoboken, will connect entrepreneurs and creators to a viable base of resources needed to launch a sustainable, successful idea. The lineup of panels will provide potent insight into what it takes to build and maintain a startup.
 Through the course of the day, prospective or interested entrepreneurs will learn from attorneys, venture capitalists, seasoned entrepreneurs & other professionals on what exactly goes into taking an idea to launch and beyond.
