Hudson County Community College will hold a 9/11 Memorial on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 2 p.m. The commemoration will include special presentations, a discussion, and aa screening of the documentary, 9/11 Reclaiming Ground Zero. Stevens Institute of Technology Deputy Chief of Police, Robert DiGenova, will be the keynote speaker.

Twenty-five years after 9/11, remembrances will include adults who grew up without parents, first responders who lost colleagues, and tributes for the fallen. Nearly 3,000 individuals were killed in the 2001 targeted attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93. Those lost forever include 900 New Jerseyans, of whom 155 were from Hudson County. In the aftermath, the United States has reshaped national security, foreign policy, and civilian life.
