Hudson Countyâ€™s COVID-related workforce challenges
January 15, 2021, Jersey City, N.J. â€“ Hudson County Community College (HCCC) has been named the recipient of a one-year, $850,000 investment from JPMorgan Chase. The investment will be utilized for a program the College developed to address the challenges of the economic crisis in Hudson County that were brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is designed to provide lasting improvement in the Countyâ€™s workforce ecosystem.
â€œWe are exceedingly grateful to JPMorgan Chase for funding our â€˜Gateway to Innovationâ€™ initiative,â€ said HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber. â€œThis program is strategically aligned with needs related to the communityâ€™s COVID-19 challenges, and the Collegeâ€™s student success and â€˜Hudson Helpsâ€™ initiatives.â€
