Jersey City Mayor Steven M. Fulop’s office, which started the Jersey City mural arts program in 2013, clarified certain points about the program after it was mentioned in a recent story that ran in the River View Observer.
- The mural program was started and continues to be executed through the Mayor’s Office under the direction of Brooke Hansson, and all inquiries regarding the program should be directed to her at email@example.com.
- The murals program started out as an anti-graffiti project and continues to be an anti-graffiti project which is how it is 100% funded and why it has a graffiti vandal community service component.
- The name of the mural program was never changed. The brochures are a street gallery map of the mural arts program.
