MUSIC BROADWAY BAYONNE -FRIDAY APRIL 14th LIVE MUSIC ON BROADWAY RETURNS TO BAYONNE AREA VENUES, FEATURING TALENTED ENTERTAINERS AT EIGHT VENUES
Music Broadway Bayonne Friday, April 14th , 2017 is sponsored by Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis and the Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone a program for the city of Bayonne that is a wonderful way to get out, go for dinner and listen to young talented musicians play while you dine.
Live Music on Broadway now in its 16th week pairs local musicians with some of Bayonne’s excellent dinner venues.
Starting this past July 1st, the Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone Board has assumed the management of the Bayonne Special Improvement District (Bayonne SID), which extends from 17th to 30th Streets on Broadway. This change in management occurred as part of Mayor Mark A. Smith’s effort to make government more efficient and accountable. By moving the management of the Bayonne SID to the UEZ Board, more of the tax monies that are assessed on the businesses in the district will be spent on efforts to improve the district as opposed to office expenses and overhead. Mayor Smith recognizes the importance of a thriving downtown shopping district and is committed to working towards the goal of making Broadway a destination for families to shop and dine.
 The district already has a nine-hole miniature golf course that has recently been upgraded. With special thanks to Lauren Dellabella, a successful farmer’s market has been added to the district every Tuesday from 2pm to 7pm until the end of October. The farmer’s market continues to grow and attracts over 600 people each Tuesday.
