The new Krispy Kreme located at 95 Columbus Drive in downtown Jersey City opened to large crowds today, Tuesday, February 7th.
Anticipation of the store opening has grown over the past few weeks and at the Grand Opening the public’s expectations were met when Krispy Kreme opened its doors at 5am.
By 5pm many customers were waiting on line to buy the many variety of donuts that has made Krispy Kreme a household name.
Krispy Kreme has plans on opening 5 more locations in the North Jersey area of Hudson and Bergen Counties.
This is the first store in the Jersey City area.

Three Embankment Preservation Coalition board members will describe the rich history of the Pennsylvania Railroad Harsimus Branch and the Coalition’s vision for its future at a presentation in Jersey City Heights on Wednesday, February 8, beginning at 7:30 pm. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will hold the second public meeting on the proposed $32.2 billion 2017-2026 Capital Plan on Tuesday, February 7th from 5pm to 8pm at the 2 Montgomery Street in Jersey City. Members of the public may attend to provide their comments on the plan.
