Jersey City, NJ – May 24, 2012 – Saint Anthony High School, a small, Catholic school in Jersey City with the powerhouse basketball team, led by legendary Coach Bob Hurley, is the school that also educates young men and women preparing them for a brighter future. But, what many people are less aware of is our record with our 18 consecutive years of 100% college acceptance and our impact on all of our students, boys and girls, athletes and scholars.
 The Saint Anthony High School Class of 2012 has achieved a level of notable success with nearly 200 acceptances to 60 colleges and universities and over $6.1 million dollars in academic and athletic scholarships awarded to more than 70% of these schools. In observance of National High Blood Pressure Month, the Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation (BEOF) sponsored a blood pressure screening for seniors at the 4th Street Nutrition Site. Here, Stella Rakowski has her blood pressure checked by Maureen Williams, a registered nurse at Bayonne Medical Center. The BEOF has expanded its community outreach and will present special events for seniors at its two nutrition sites. For more information, please call the BEOF: (201) 437 – 7222.
