COUNT DOWN TO THE 2011 HOLIDAY SEASON

                                                                                                                                        decor-story-nov-candle.jpg

(ARA) “Tis the season for making merry. Whether you are celebrating a traditional family holiday at home or entertaining some friends for a festive cocktail party, use decorations to transform your home into a winter wonderland this holiday season.

Here are some quick and simple holiday decorating tips from the experts at ProFlowers:

Classic Country Christmas
Your family tends to make all of your holiday decorations from scratch, and everyone pitches in while stringing the popcorn to go around your oversized Christmas tree. This year, take your homemade decorating a step further and transform your home into a festive country cottage. Hang pinecone garland, bought or homemade, along your staircase to bring the outdoors inside. For an added country touch, add plaid red and white ribbons to your garland. Hanging greenery on your mantel is always a classic touch, and this year you can take it a step further by sprinkling fake snow on the greenery to give your home a cozy feeling.

November Cover Story-Hoboken’s Water Music Recorders

grobbles-cover-nov.jpg…music history being made here

By Tom Dwyer

                                                                                                    control-water-music.jpg

Rock, jazz, blues, hip-hop, country and everything in between has been recorded at Hoboken’s famed music recording studio (Water Music Recorders) over the past twenty-seven years. Music legends and international stars like Dave Mathews, the Allman Brothers, Joey Ramone, Spyro Gyra, U2, Sarah McLachlan and even Nancy Sinatra have recorded at this residential music studio.

The creator behind this worldwide-known recording studio is Rob Grenoble, a musician in his own right who back in the late 1970’s and 1980’s played with a group called Cries. He was signed as a recording artist with RCA Records in 1989. But it was in 1980 when he created Water Music studio solely for his band to record that things really got interesting. No sooner did the recording studio get up and running, that Steve Fallon, the owner and visionary behind Maxwell’s–the famed rock club in Hoboken—asked Rob to record a solo album for songwriter Chris Stamey (who still records at Water Music). The original studio was located at 201 Grand Street and before long, a line of extraordinary musicians like Yo La Tengo, Freedy Johnston, the Feelies, Chris Stamey, Marshall Crenshaw and dozens of other bands made Water Music their home.

Real Estate Profiles- BROKERS, AGENTS, DEVELOPERS CHANGING THE FACE OF HUDSON COUNTY

New Jersey Gold Coast Real Estate LLC.
The Future Gateway of Real Estate
by Evelyn Bonilla

The region from the Statue of Liberty to the George Washington Bridge is known as the “Gold Coast” of New Jersey. For many this region provides a chance to see the sights, but for Scott Selleck this region is a special place, a place where many individuals and families can begin a “new life”. A new life in a new home. A graduate of Ryder University in Lawrenceville, NJ, Selleck majored in Finance. He moved down to Florida and for several years worked for Barnett Bank. He left Barnett Bank and joined the real estate property management firm of Gerber & Somma. After working there for a year Selleck moved back to New Jersey where his experience and passion for the real estate business would once again lead him into another real estate management firm where he worked for several years. His drive and determination was strong and he set out and acquired his own broker’s license. Selleck decided that it was time to branch out on his own, so in the fall of 2001 he formed his own real estate property management firm and titled it, New Jersey Gold Coast Real Estate LLC.
