Support and cheering came from many of Bayonne’s children’s teams along with the BPD, BFD and more.
Mayor Jimmy Davis threw out the first ball and Samantha Baez sang the National Anthem. Local school Walter Robin’s choir sang.
A ribbon cutting for the new monuments- bricks with each player’s names inscribed was done by the Mayor and City Council.
After the games, there was an on-field BBQ & bouncy slide to complement the park’s playground. “It was a fantastic day. My son Gabriel had a wonderful time with his buddies. Thank you, Pete Amadeo,” said, mom, Elisha DeMaria.
