Bayonne Farmers’ Market Adds Vendors and Days of Operation

 Mayor Mark A. Smith announced that the Bayonne Farmers’ Market has grown from five to fifteen vendors. The program has also added dates.

It will now run on Tuesdays through November 20, the Tuesday just before Thanksgiving. Unionville Vineyards from Ringoes, New Jersey, will be at the market on October 2 and 9 to sell their wine. If Unionville Vineyards does well, they will come back for more dates. They make wine from grapes grown in their vineyard. Iona Hills Farms offers a selection of fruits and vegetables. The wares include such unique offerings as husk tomatoes, purple green beans, and black apricots. Ort Farms sells fruits and vegetables, honey, jams, apple cider, apple cider donuts, farm fresh eggs, and cheese Hoboken Farms has products that include gourmet breads, prepared foods, and fresh mozzarella. Gourmet Dried Fruits and Nuts sells a selection of dried fruits, nuts, and trail mixes. Dr. Pickle offers pickles, olives, and marinated mushrooms. Lizzmonade makes fresh fruit lemonades. Baker’s Bounty produces fresh baked breads, pies, stromboli, cakes, and foccacia. Paolo’s Kitchen sells prepared dinners and burrata cheese, SI Kettle Corn sells corn. Made with Love, an organic baker, prepares cookies, pies, scones, muffins, and cupcakes. City-Girls Food makes foccacia rounds and macaroni-and-cheese. Baba’s Borscht produces Ukrainian soups. Green Acres Gourmet Cookie and Muffin Mixes offers baked products. Bohdi All Natural Skincare & Handmade Soaps sells personal care products. Stella’s offers empanadas.

The Bayonne Farmers’ Market takes place on Tuesdays, rain or shine, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the municipal parking lot located on Del Monte Drive, next to the mini-golf course, near West 23rd and West 24th Street, between Avenue C and Broadway. The market is located in Bayonne’s Special Improvement District, which runs from 17th Street to 30th Street.
