BAYONNE Dine Out and Shop Out Event on Broadway Set for Thursday, September 24

The event organizer is City Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski.  The Council President said, “The Dine Out and Shop Out Night in the Second Ward will build on the success of the recent Maskerade event in Bergen Point in the First Ward.  We are expanding the night out concept to other areas of town and promoting business in all parts of Bayonne.”  Council President Ashe-Nadrowski continued, “These special events are all about supporting local restaurants and small businesses during this trying time.”  Mayor Davis said, “I would like to thank Council President Ashe-Nadrowski and all participating restaurants and retail businesses for planning this great event.  We should all do whatever we can to support our local small business community.”

In order to allow for event set-up, the street-closing on Broadway will start at 4:00 p.m. on September 24. Broadway will be closed until 11:00 p.m. that night, in order to provide time to remove dining furniture and equipment from the street.

No parking will be allowed on Broadway from 18th Street to 25th Street from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., in order to provide space for dining and retail sales.  Parking will be available in the nearby lots off Broadway operated by the Bayonne Parking Utility.

In the event of inclement weather, the rain date would be Friday, September 25, with the same hours and street closing details described above for September 24.

The Dine Out and Shop Out event will observe the mask requirements and social distancing guidelines established by the State of New Jersey.
