To commemorate the solemn anniversary Sept. 11, the American Red Cross, in partnership with the Jersey City Department of Public Safety and Suburban Propane, will hold its Fourth Annual Jersey City Police and Fire 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive. Close to 200 first responders and community members are expected to participate. All presenting donors will receive a Red Cross first aid kit, courtesy of Suburban Propane, a proud national sponsor of the American Red Cross Blood Services.

Bridges Art Festival 2018 Saturday, September 8, 2018
With a cool breeze coming off the Newark Bay, artists, musicians and vendors gathered in Bayonne’s Dennis Collins Park below the Bayonne Bridge for the Annual Bridge Art Festival.
Organized by Bridge Art Gallery owners Cheryl Mack and husband Christopher Mack, who is also President of the Bergen Point Merchant Association,
this annual event has become popular with Bayonne and Hudson County resident’s alike.
Participants were able to stroll through the park area and view artists work, along with vendor and sponsor booths.
A musical stage featuring live entertainment, The Anthony Fuscaldo Trio, Los Hacheros, Singer Alicia Olatuja, Dance with Me Dance Studio also a beer garden hosted by Bayonne’s DaNoi restaurant and plenty of food trucks and things for children to do.

Friend and supporter of the arts and artists, Meredith Lippman of Jersey City was also an artist. On Nov. 8, 2015, Meredith passed away, and the local arts community was devatated. In her honor, Meredith’s daughter Morgan Steadwell and Meredith’s husband John Steadwell have put together an exhibition of Meredith’s paintings which will be on view and on auction with all proceeds going to Nimbus Dance Works and other youth scholarship funds. “My mom knew and touched the hearts of so many people in Jersey City/ Hudson County,†Morgan says. “My dad and I thought it was only right to share her art with the community she loved.†The exhibition runs Sept. 7-28; the Opening Reception/Fundraiser is scheduled for Sept. 14, 7 pm-11 pm. Bayonne National Nightout Tuesday, August 7, 2018
Bayonne residents braved the over 90 degree weather and came out to honor Natonial Nightout in Bayonne on August 7, 2018.
Represented by Hudson County’s Law enforcement such as the Bayonne Police Department and Hudson County Sheriff’s Office the event was loaded with plenty of things to do for Bayonne residents, from inflatables rides for the children, vendors and a special treat for children; sitting in an actual Bayonne Police cruiser and BFD Fire truck.
Information was handed out by the many vendors at the event Jersey City Medical Center, Bayonne Community Bank, The City of Bayonne Office on Aging , Grace Lutheran Church and many others who were stationed along the event route between 21st and 23rd streets, along Broadway.
Also on hand McCabe Ambulance service and a large vehicle from the County of Hudson EMS Task Force.
