Red Cross holds fourth annual Jersey City Police and Fire 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive


To commemorate the solemn anniversary Sept. 11, the American Red Cross, in partnership with the Jersey City Department of Public Safety and Suburban Propane, will hold its Fourth Annual Jersey City Police and Fire 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive. Close to 200 first responders and community members are expected to participate. All presenting donors will receive a Red Cross first aid kit, courtesy of Suburban Propane, a proud national sponsor of the American Red Cross Blood Services.

  Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018. The blood drive will take place between 8 a.m.-6 p.m. A special program with Jersey City, Red Cross and Suburban Propane officials will be held between 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Bridges Art Festival 2018 Saturday, September 8, 2018

With a cool breeze coming off the Newark Bay, artists, musicians and vendors gathered in Bayonne’s Dennis Collins Park below the Bayonne Bridge for the Annual Bridge Art Festival.

Organized by Bridge Art Gallery owners Cheryl Mack and husband Christopher Mack, who is also President of the Bergen Point Merchant Association,

this annual event has become popular with Bayonne and Hudson County resident’s alike.

Participants were able to stroll through the park area and view artists work, along with vendor and sponsor booths.

A musical stage featuring live entertainment, The Anthony Fuscaldo Trio, Los Hacheros, Singer Alicia Olatuja, Dance with Me Dance Studio also a beer garden hosted by Bayonne’s DaNoi restaurant and plenty of food trucks and things for children to do.
