Exchange Physical Therapy Group and Liberty Humane Society Cut Ribbon Jersey City’s First Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Mobile Van

New Program to Provide Residents with $10 Spay/Neuter Service After More Than $125,000 Raised by Exchange Physical Therapy Group & Jaclyn Fulop

 Local small business Exchange Physical Therapy Group, owner Jaclyn Fulop and Liberty Humane Society cut the ribbon today at on Jersey City’s first low-cost spay/neuter mobile van during a ceremony on at the animal shelter at 235 Jersey City Boulevard.

The mobile van was purchased and its services made possible after a fundraising drive organized by Exchange Physical Therapy Group and Jaclyn Fulop, raising over $125,000 for the non-profit animal shelter.

 Exchange Physical Therapy Group in Jersey City and Weehawken, hosted a fundraiser in April at local distillery Corgi Spirits, and through ticket sales and corporate donations, more than quadrupled its initial goal raising a total of over $125,000.

“We saw there was a great need in the community and wanted to help and ensure that all of Jersey City’s cats and dogs have a chance at a good life,” said Jaclyn Fulop, co-owner of Exchange Physical Therapy Group.  “We couldn’t be prouder than we are today to cut the ribbon on the van and see it in operation.  We know this will impact many pet-owning families.”

Please be advised that the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for tonight and tomorrow. Due to the likelihood of flooding through Sunday, July 22, the Office of Emergency Management is taking precautions by putting no parking signs and barricades near flood prone intersections.

These intersections include:

9th and Monroe
9th and Madison
3rd and Jackson
1st and Clinton
3rd and Clinton
Henderson and Newark
Grove Street and Newark

Hoboken’s 14th Annual Spaghetti Dinner August 30th

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken invite you to the 14th Annual Spaghetti Dinner Block Party on Thursday, August 30 from 5-8 p.m. along the waterfront walkway on Sinatra Drive between 1st and 2nd Streets.

The evening will feature a musical performance by Sinatra Idol winner Zack Alexander and a dinner of four types of pasta, salad, meatballs, sausage, eggplant, assorted breads, Italian pastries, and cookies. Beer, wine, soda, and water will be available at an additional charge with proceeds of the beverage sales going to support the Hoboken Ambulance Corps.

Seating is limited, and tickets must be purchased in advance at www.Hobokennj.org/register OR at the Cultural Affairs Office on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 94 Washington Street.

The New York Bee Gees Performing Bayonne Summer Sounds by the Bay July 25

Mayor Davis announced that the City of Bayonne will present a Summer Sounds by the Bay concert on Wednesday, July 25, at 7:00 p.m., weather permitting.

On July 25, the New York Bee Gees will entertain Bayonne. This group is composed of talented New York singers and musicians. Their shows present songs from every decade
of the Bee Gees from the early years to the disco period.

They will entertain Bayonne with stunning production, powerful vocals, and a professional stage presence.

The concert will be held at the amphitheater on the lower level of DiDomenico-16th Street Park, which is located between Avenue A and Newark Bay.

The Summer Sounds concerts are sponsored by BCB Community Bank, Inserra Shop-Rite, the Bayonne Chamber of Commerce, and Bayonne Yellow

Founded in 2016 in Jersey City’s Bergen-Lafayette section, Deep Space Gallery’s mission is “to serve as a creative incubator and launchpad for its roster of formally-trained and outsider contemporary artists.”
