Internationally known and Renowned Martial Arts Legend Grandmaster Austin Wright Sr. was honored for his extraordinary dedication to service and leadership with the prestigious 2025 Odyssey International Community Service Award of Excellence. The award was presented during the Odyssey International Business Networking Gala, held at the distinguished Newark Museum of Art in Newark, New Jersey.

Grandmaster Wright received this distinguished recognition for his Outstanding Contributions to Martial Arts Education, Youth Empowerment, Veteran Leadership, and Community Well-Being, reflecting a lifelong commitment to uplifting communities locally and internationally through discipline, mentorship, and service.

Further solidifying his global influence and legacy, Grandmaster Wright was recently featured in three internationally recognized martial arts publications, including International Martial Arts Magazine, Deadly Art of Survival, and Martial Arts World Magazine, earning two front-cover features—a rare and notable achievement in the martial arts world.

During the same gala, Grandmaster Wright was also presented with an official Resolution from the City of Jersey City, New Jersey, honoring his lasting impact and exemplary leadership.

The event was masterfully directed by CFO Persia Oliver, whose vision helped bring together influential leaders, honorees, and changemakers from around the world.

Once when I was first allowed to vote, I was hesitating on whether or not to go vote because it was raining out and I was told by my dad, “The weather doesn’t care if you need to, or not go to vote; you have to care, and get yourself out there and vote, because a lot of young men and some women fought wars to give you the right to vote.”.Every election day, I think about that tongue-lashing and get myself out to vote.

Jersey City’s runoff election is taking place today, December 2nd, 2025, between James Solomon and Jim McGreevey, and it’s raining out. I wonder how many of you will sit this one out?

Don’t! These two candidates made it to the run-off and deserve your vote. I am not certain who will emerge as Jersey City’s next Mayor, but I trust the judgment of the Jersey City people to do the right thing. And pick the candidate deserving of the job. The people of Jersey City know the issues confronting the City, and the candidates seeking the job.

Renovations Guided by Partnership with Parks Coalition and Local RNA Community Group 

JERSEY CITY – Mayor Steven M. Fulop and the Municipal Council join the Riverview Neighborhood Association (RNA) to announce the full reopening of Riverview-Fisk Park following $2.1 million in much-needed upgrades for the complete renovation of the neighborhood park. Working with the local community to best meet residents†needs, the improvements include a modernized infrastructure, restoration of historic elements, tree canopy preservation and expansion, and additional recreation features for kids of all ages to enjoy the outdoors.

Tony is in need of Kidney, he presently recieves regular dialysis treatments three times a week Monday, Tuesday, Friday 3-1/2 hours at a time, at DaVita Dialysis Center in middletown, New Jersey. The treatments helps his kidneys do their job & keeps him alive.

Tony needs a transplant, this will provide him with the ability to live longer, healthier and to live more of a normal life and will give him time to do what he loves & treasures the most spending time with his family and new granddaughter. However, finding a kidney is not easy. Just ask the thousands & thousands of people on the waiting list for a deceased kidney like Tony.

Time is not on Tony’s side, especially, if you are 70 years of age, you only have until 75 to get a deceased kidney. The average wait time is 7 to 8 years for a kidney from a deceased donor. Some wait for years, many die while waiting. However, there is another option receiving a kidney from a living donor. A living kidney donation will last longer and have better function. Some people are afraid about the surgery and what living with one kidney will mean for them. We have some basic information about kidney donation:

1. You only need one kidney to live a healthy long life.

2. Most donor surgery is done laparoscopically, meaning through tiny incisions.

3. The recuperation period is usually fairly quick, generally two weeks.

4. The cost of your evaluation and surgery will be covered by Tony’s insurance. The hospital can give you extensive information on this

.5. You will have a seperate team of healthcare professionals to evaluate you as a living donor.
