Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Board of Trustees recently approved appointments to leadership positions, and awarded tenure to instructors.  

HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber noted that the appointments and tenure awards reflect the Collegeâ€s dedication to ensuring HCCC students receive a quality education provided by individuals who are the best in their fields.  

“Everyone at HCCC applauds our dedicated colleague, Dr. Ara Karakashian, and welcomes John Hernandez and Cecily McKeown to Hudson County Community College. We congratulate them on their new appointments,” Dr. Reber said.

April 1, 2021, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Trustees have voted unanimously to freeze the costs of tuition and fees for the second consecutive year.

HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber said the Board voted to maintain the current level of tuition and fees with no increases continuing throughout the 2021-22 academic year. The extension will include this yearâ€s Summer II and Fall semester classes, as well as the 2022 Winter, Spring, and Summer I sessions.

January 15, 2021, Jersey City, N.J. – Hudson County Community College (HCCC) has been named the recipient of a one-year, $850,000 investment from JPMorgan Chase. The investment will be utilized for a program the College developed to address the challenges of the economic crisis in Hudson County that were brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is designed to provide lasting improvement in the Countyâ€s workforce ecosystem.

“We are exceedingly grateful to JPMorgan Chase for funding our ‘Gateway to Innovation†initiative,” said HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber. “This program is strategically aligned with needs related to the communityâ€s COVID-19 challenges, and the Collegeâ€s student success and ‘Hudson Helps†initiatives.”
