Healy and the <strong>Jersey City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) </strong>announce sites throughout the city for residents to beat the heatÂ  when temperatures are expected to exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit 90 Â°</p>
<p></em></strong></p>
<p>Â All residents, especially the elderly, disabled people, pregnant women and children under the age of two are encouraged to stay indoors or take advantage of the facilities if necessary.<span id="more-3761"></span></p>
<p>&#8220;We hope to keep all of our residents healthy and cool during this hot summer,&#8221; said <strong>Mayor Healy. </strong>&#8220;It is not just the heat, but the humidity that can take its toll. We are hoping those Jersey City residents in need of air conditioning will take advantage of the cooling sites we have set up and conserve water wherever possible.&#8221;</p>
<p>The following sites will be open to the Jersey City community at large, as well as seniors who don&#8217;t have access to air conditioning. The locations and time schedule are as follows:</p>
<p><strong>Five Corners Library, 678 Newark Avenue</p>
<p></strong></p>
<p>Hours: Monday, 12Noon-8 PM; Tuesday through Thursday, 10AM-6 PM; Friday, 9AM -5 PM</p>
<p><strong>Jersey City Main Library, 472 Jersey Avenue</p>
<p></strong></p>
<p>Hours: Monday, 9AM &#8211; 6PM; Tuesday, 9AM-8PM; Wednesday and Thursday, 9AM &#8211; 6PM; Friday, 9AM -5 PM; and Saturday, 10AM &#8211; 2PM</p>
<p><strong>Pershing Field Community Center, Summit Avenue and Pershing Plaza</p>
<p></strong></p>
<p>Hours: Monday through Sunday, 8AM &#8211; 4PM</p>
<p><strong>Pershing Field Pool (indoor), Summit Avenue and Pershing Plaza</p>
