February 21, 2018, Jersey City, NJ / Area business people and residents are invited to participate in Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Foundationâ€s popular Subscription Dining Series. Now In its eighth year, the Series provides subscribers with the opportunity to enjoy superior luncheon dining experiences on Friday afternoons from February 23 through April 20. Proceeds from the Series furnish deserving HCCC students with much-needed financial assistance.

The Subscription Dining Series was established in 2010 after several business people in the community expressed an interest for more dining options from the Collegeâ€s nationally acclaimed HCCC Culinary Arts Institute (CAI). The Series provides groups of four diners to savor delectable, four-course meals that are planned and prepared by the Executive Chef and professional chef-instructors of the Collegeâ€s renowned Culinary Arts Institute. The Series menus include soup, appetizer, entrée, and dessert courses accompanied by non-alcoholic beverages (beer and wine by the glass or bottle are available at an additional cost; cash and credit cards are accepted). All luncheons are served by professionally trained CAI students in the elegantly appointed Banquet Room of the HCCC CAI at 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Station, and directly across the street from a public parking structure. The value-conscious cost of the entire eight luncheons for four is just $995, or about $31 per person.

Service for the HCCC Foundation Subscription Dining Series are February 23, March 2, March 9, March 16, March 23, April 6, April 13, and April 20. Service hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Hudson County Community College Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) corporation providing tax-exempt status to contributors. Founded in 1997, the HCCC Foundation is dedicated to generating financial support for the College and its students by developing needs-based and merit scholarships. Members Will Enjoy World-Class Dining Experiences While Proceeds Will Provide Deserving HCCC Students with Scholarships; First Offering Scheduled for Friday, February 12 

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – At Hudson County Community College – home of one of the East Coast’s most acclaimed culinary arts studies programs – a subscription dining program has been established that will result in scholarships for deserving students.

HCCC Vice President for Development Joseph Sansone announced the inauguration of the innovative HCCC Foundation Subscription Dining Series. “These days, everyone is very conscious of value, and this happens to be one of the best values anywhere,” Mr. Sansone said. He explained that the membership fee of $995 provides the Subscription Dining Series member with a table-for-four for eight, four-course luncheons on Fridays this spring.

The menus – which will be planned and prepared by the Executive Chef and team of culinary professionals who teach at the College’s renowned Culinary Arts Institute (CAI) – will include soup, appetizer, entrée and dessert courses as well as non-alcoholic beverages. (Beer, wine and cocktails will be available at an additional charge.) All meals will be served by the CAI’s professionally trained student staff in the beautifully appointed Banquet Room of the HCCC Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Station.

The Subscription Dining Series dates are Fridays, February 12 and 26, March 5, 12 and 26, and April 16, 23 and 30, with luncheon being served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Each meal will be completely different, and each will be equivalent to those served in the finest four-star restaurants.

Sansone said Foundation’s Subscription Dining Series program was conceived and developed after several area businesspeople expressed the desire for more luncheon dining options, especially those where they could take clients and associates.

 “I cannot think of many places in this area where you can enjoy a delicious, four-course meal, meticulously served in an elegant and comfortable setting for just $31.10 a person. Best of all, you will know that your subscription tab – which is also a tax-exempt donation – will assist in financing the education of deserving students,” Mr. Sansone stated.

The Hudson County Community College Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 corporation providing tax-exempt status to contributors. The organization, which was founded in 1997, is dedicated to generating financial support for the College and its students, developing needs-based and merit scholarships, and providing seed money for innovative faculty development programs, and for the College’s physical expansion.

This past year, the Foundation awarded 100 scholarships totaling more than $150,000. The scholarships were donated through the goodwill of a number of organizations, businesses and individuals from the Hudson County area, and many of the Foundation’s benefactors view their donations as investments in the growth and development of our students and all the people of Hudson County.
