<p><strong></strong>Â <span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Bayonne remains under a state of emergency. A mandatory overnight curfew remains in effect from 6:00 p.m. until further notice. For your safety, residents are instructed to remain at home or in secure locations as much as possible over the next several days. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><strong>Electric power:</strong> Today, Sunday, November 4, PSE&amp;G informed that City of Bayonne that they expect to restore electric power to most of Bayonne by the latter part of Monday, November 5. Please call PSE&amp;G at 1-800-436-7734 to emphasize that power is still out in your neighborhood.<span id="more-5669"></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><strong>Food distribution sites:</strong> We will continue to operate food distribution centers on Sunday, November 4, and Monday, November 5, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., at Mary J. Donohoe School on East 5<sup>th</sup> Street, Midtown Community School at 23<sup>rd</sup> Street and Avenue A, and Washington Community School at </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><strong>Garbage and recycling collection:</strong> Regular garbage and recycling collections are in effect. Citywide leaf collection is scheduled for Monday. That would be a great opportunity to dispose of leaves that came down during the storm.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><strong>Shelter:</strong> For residents who need assistance, two shelters remain open at Midtown Community School (23<sup>rd</sup> Street and Avenue A) and Nicholas Oresko School (24<sup>th</sup> Street and Avenue E). </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><strong>Tax payments:</strong> Although Thursday, November 1, was the nominal legal due date for property tax bills, a grace period is in effect. Fourth quarter tax payments are due by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 13. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><strong>Gasoline sales on an odd/even basis:</strong> Governor Chris Christie has issued an executive order concerning sales of motor fuel. Since Saturday, November 3, all retail dealers of motor fuel have been required to only sell motor fuel for use in a passenger automobile bearing license plates, the last number of which is an even number, on even numbered days of each month. Likewise, sales will only be permitted to passenger automobiles bearing license plates ending in odd numbers on odd numbered days of the month. Specialized plates â€“ or those not displaying a number â€“ will be considered odd numbered plates.</span></span></p>
