The Bayonne Fire and Police Departments are sponsoring an emergency blood drive on Monday, June 25, at the City Hall Fire House, 27^th Street and Avenue C, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All blood types are welcome. There is a serious need for O negative, O positive, A negative, and B negative blood.

Health officials asked prospective donors to bring signed or picture identification and to know their Social Security numbers. Anyone who is physically able is welcome to donate blood. In order to prevent donors from being weak after giving blood, drive organizers are asking donors to eat a meal beforehand. Health professionals will screen prospective donors before blood is drawn. There will be a free cholesterol check for all blood donors.
