Now in its 7th year, the Jersey City Comedy Festival has become one of the region’s most exciting comedy events, bringing together nationally recognised headliners, emerging talent, and enthusiastic audiences to the heart of Jersey City. The festival celebrates stand-up comedy, promotes diversity and inclusion, and provides unique opportunities for networking and career growth.

Submissions for the stand-up competition open December 15, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Interested comedians can apply and submit their stand-up reel at jerseycitycomedyfestival.com.

Art House Productions is proud to announce the launch of the Javiera Rodriguez Legacy Art Fund, a new microgrant program honoring the life and spirit of beloved artist and social worker Javiera “Javi” Rodriguez.

Javi was a dedicated social worker at Becton Regional High School in East Rutherford, NJ, known for her fierce advocacy, compassion, and commitment to the students and families she served. She was also a gifted artist, jewelry designer, and maker under the name Javiera Magaly. A cherished member of the Art House community, Javi volunteered at the annual Snow Ball Gala year after year. Her sudden passing in April 2020, during the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, left an immeasurable void in her community and in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

Art House Productions (Executive Director Meredith Burns, Gallery Director Andrea McKenna) is proud to present “The Affordable Art Show,” an annual December event with works priced $500 and under. Curated by Andrea McKenna, the show includes over 150 works of art from 89 artists. Showcasing special pieces with gift-giving in mind, all works are priced to be especially affordable for the holiday season. Works include paintings, small sculptures, handmade gifts, and more! All works will be for sale in the Art House Gallery at The Hendrix at 345 Marin Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07302.

The Affordable Art Show will be open starting on JC Fridays, December 2nd from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and then on Saturdays and Sundays December 3rd – December 18th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. The Gallery will be open Monday December 19th – Thursday, December 22nd from 5:30pm – 8:30pm. There will be a closing holiday party on Friday, December 23rd 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
