For the past few  years both these men have been running for President of the United States.

They have made all their speeches, had all their debates, spoke to the people of the United States about their programs, their promises, their agenda  for the next 4 years. No more can be said by them, we haven’t already heard.  Now it’s up to us.

Tommorow we have the power, to change who sit’s in the Whitehouse or who remains. It is our day to be heard.  Whatever your political affliation -use this day to be heard.

Vote because hundreds of thousands of men and women who served in our Armed Forces  died defending this country and defending our freedom to vote -their not here to vote -but you are and you should.

Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy and the Municipal Council, and the Jersey City Dept. of Health & Human Services/Division of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with ProArts, and the Hudson Reporter, present the 2012 Jersey City Artists Studio Tour, a FREE self-guided walking tour featuring galleries, artist studios and ad hoc exhibition sites. The tour will take place from Noon – 6:00 p.m.throughout the city on the weekend of Saturday, October 13th and Sunday, October 14th.

In it’s 22nd year, the Annual Jersey City Artists Studio Tour is a weekend celebration of the East Coastâ€s fastest growing art scene that features hundreds of artists, dozens of exhibitions, galleries, museums, live music and performances, food, drink and parties – all located just five minutes from Manhattan.

Every year, hundreds of artists participate in the tour attracting thousands of visitors during its tw0-day run. The  Jersey City Artists Studio Tour is widely considered New Jerseyâ€s premier art and cultural event, and is free and open to the public.

The Jersey City Artists Studio Tour features a diverse selection of styles and artistic disciplines, from avant-garde video and sculpture to traditional oil painting. Tour goers will have the opportunity to meet and talk to the artists themselves, including interaction with the artists in their working environments.

From a diverse art scene, to the eclectic shops and boutiques, indulging in multi-ethnic cuisines at local restaurants along the tour route, or simply enjoying the lively atmosphere stolling from one studio to the next, for visitors and tour goers, this is a wonderful way to spend the weekend exploring all that Jersey City has to offer.

The Golden Door International Film Festival, which opens October 11th through October 14th in Downtown Jersey City, and features dozens of short independent films showing at various local venues throughout the Studio Tour weekend.

Also open for the 2012 Studio Tour is the Loews Theatre, located at 227 Coles Street. It will feature the artwork of students from the Jersey City Public Schools, grades K-12. Images will feature Jersey City and the jazz age.

The Jersey City Department of Recreation and the Division of Senior Affairs will be providing three shuttle service buses with tour guides, available to select venues. Easily accessible, most tour venues are within walking distance of the NY/NJ PATH, the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, or jitney bus services.

19% more runners participated  in the race  for 2012 than in 2011, with 2,640 men, women and elite competitors registered. The first male runner to finish the race was Kenneth Goglas, a resident of Randolph, N.J., who came in at 1:09:11.68. The first female runner to finish the race was Cheyenne Ogletree of Garfield, N.J., who crossed the finish line at 1:21:57.41. All of the runners finished strong! Mayor Mark A. Smith announced that McLooneâ€s Bayonne Grille, the restaurant that will open at Winners, the new off-track wagering facility, will have a job fair at City Hall on Wednesday, June 6, and Thursday, June 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. McLooneâ€s will accept resumes in the City Council Chambers on both days. McLooneâ€s representatives will be on hand to meet applicants. City Hall is located at 630 Avenue C, between 27^th and 28^th Streets. The Council Chambers are located on the first floor.

Mayor Smith said, “This job fair will provide a great opportunity for local people who are looking for new employment. The City of Bayonne is happy to co-sponsor this event to help our residents. As the economic recovery continues, McLooneâ€s will be a welcome addition to our communityâ€s employers.”
