JERSEY CITY (NOVEMBER 2011) – The Iron Monkey Bar & Restaurant will host its 15th annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 24, 2011. Since 1996, the Iron Monkey has opened its doors to the Jersey City community and offered free Thanksgiving meals to anyone in need of a place to celebrate the holiday.

Last year, the Iron Monkey served 350 meals, and hopes to increase that number to 500 meals served this Thanksgiving. While many of our guests join us from local retirement communities and the Jersey City area, everyone in Hudson County is welcome to participate.

“We’re open to anyone who wants to come out and enjoy a delicious home-cooked Thanksgiving meal,” says Iron Monkey owner Steve McIntyre. “It’s something that we feel good about doing every year. We provide great food, great company, and we try to provide a really fun atmosphere for all of our guests.”

On Thanksgiving, meals will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Meals will be served during four separate seating times, and reservations are suggested. All ages are welcome.

This event is one way that the Iron Monkey family celebrates the blessings we have received throughout the year. It’s our hope to bring our Jersey City community together to celebrate this holiday, and support our neighbors.
