Local Jersey City Salon to Host ‘Blow Fear Away’ Event to Raise Funds for Hopeline Network’s First Online Crisis Center

On Saturday, November 19, Aire Salon in Jersey City, NJ will be
hosting a special “Blow Fear Away” event, a fundraiser to support IMAlive.org,
the world’s first virtual crisis center. The event will take place on National Suicide Survivor’s Day, and all proceeds for hair blow-outs will go to the Hopeline Network’s new IMAlive service, which enables people to communicate with trained and certified crisis intervention volunteers via instant message.
With cyber bullying affecting so many in this technological age, the harm being caused has a real impact. Because of this, instant online support is a necessity. Junior stylists from the TSPA Redken school will be on hand to assist Aire’s  regular stylists to help bolster the salon’s fundraising efforts. Blowouts will  range from $25 for a junior stylist to $40 for an Aire stylist, 100 percent of  the service and 10 percent of the proceeds of hair product purchases will be  also donated to IMAlive.

Representatives  from IMAlive will be on site and available for interviews, including Aire Salon  co-owner Aiko Kahn, a longstanding board member for the Hopeline Network.
