The Fine and Performing Arts Academy at Bayonne High School hosts the first Monthly Student Showcase of the Year

Fine and Performing Arts Academy students at Bayonne High School had the opportunity to share their talents with family, friends, teachers and administrators at the first monthly Student Showcase on Tuesday, September 25th at 6:30 PM in the Alexander X. O’Connor Auditorium.

               All Arts Academy students are required to perform or present an original work three times throughout the school year at a monthly Showcase. Performances include vocal solos, instrumental solos or ensembles, dramatic monologues, readings of original writing, or the presentation of original artwork.

               Performers on September 25th included several 9th grade students embarking on their first year as Arts Academy students at Bayonne High School. The 9th grade performers were: Musical Theater students Danielle Baran and Samantha Kobryn, Vocal Music student Mitchie Nguyen, and Fine Art Student Rebecca Pavelko. Additionally, a student-assembled jazz ensemble of upper class Arts Academy students performed three instrumental pieces. The jazz performers were: 11th graders Germain Brito (trumpet) and Kathleen Kildosher (saxophone), and 12th graders Kyle Del Rosario (keyboard) and Eduardo Sinay (percussion).
