-It may be the busiest time of the year for Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick but, that didn’t keep him from making an appearance at Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union’s Main Service Center in Jersey City, New Jersey today. The family-focused event was hosted by the credit union as a holiday gesture for the community and fundraiser for the Kenmare School for Women and Children, also located in Hudson County.

When the LSFCU team came up with the idea to hold a toy drive to benefit the Mothers and Children of the Kenmare School, Santa was first on-board to support the project. “It’s so important to support the communities we are privileged to serve, “said Michael Flynn, one of Liberty Saving’s Account Recovery Specialists (who also bore an uncanny resemblance to Santa). When asked how they were able to get the Head Elf, himself, to make an appearance, Karen Velasquez, Marketing & Business Development Officer for Liberty Savings just smiled and winked, “Why, don’t you know? Santa and the Mrs. are members of the credit union!”

Members were invited to take photos with Mr. Claus and share their fondest Christmas wishes for the Holiday Season. Each child, big and small received a token of cheer from Santa along with his gratitude for their giving spirits. The toys and gifts generously collected will be donated to the Kenmare School in time for this Christmas.
