Village Neighborhood Association in Downtown Jersey City Needs Your Help

The Village Neighborhood Association has been doing some wonderful work in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy and they can use your help

Here’s how you can help…
THE VNA  NEEDS TO FIND THOSE IN NEED OF HELP
If you are in need of help or know someone else who is need of help, fill out this form and we’ll get on it.
TOMORROW’S SCHEDULE
9:00 – 10:00. If you have a car, this is your moment. We will have “relief baskets” ready at Barry Mansion (83 Wayne Street between Barrow and Jersey). Just pull up, let us know you’re there, and we’ll load you up and tell you what baskets go to what address.
10:00 and 12:00. “I need help / I can help” Dispatch Meeting at City Hall. Due to popular demand we’re adding a morning edition for those that want to get an early start at 10:00. We also have our regular 12:00 meeting. Come to either– or both! Those in need, come and make your needs known. Volunteers, come with any tools you think may be useful (shovels, brooms, contractor bags). 280 Grove Street.
2:00 – 6:00. Barrow Mansion will be open for drivers to make deliveries and for people to help organize the donations and compile “relief baskets” for delivery and for, of course, donations. While all donations are welcome, see the list below for specific requests.
We’re also doing a lot of outreach and coordination on our Facebook Group:
You can also follow on Twitter, but it’s not as active:
