Forecast for Jersey City Overnight into Tomorrow; New Date to be Announced
JERSEY CITY – The Ward A State of the City Address scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, February, 9, 2017 at CityLine Church, 1510 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, has been postponed due to the winter storm forecast for our area. A new date will be announced in a few days.
The other four State of the City Addresses will take place at 6:30 p.m. on each of the following dates:
Ward C, Monday, February 27th, Franklin L. Williams M.S. 7, 222 Laidlaw Avenue
Ward D, Thursday, March 2, Christa McAuliffe School P.S. 28, 167 Hancock Avenue
Ward E, Tuesday, March 7th, Grace Church Van Vorst, 39 Erie Street
Ward B, Tuesday, March 14th, Hank Gallo Community Center, Lincoln Park
This week, Mayor Fulop and his administration is kicking off the State of the City series. The Mayor and his team will be speaking to the communities of each of our city’s wards over the next few weeks about last year’s accomplishments, and most importantly, this year’s priorities.

Mayor Fulop to Deliver 2017 State of the City Address in All Six Wards; Series of Speeches Will Highlight Results of First Term and Initiatives for 2017
Mayor Steven M. Fulop will deliver the 2017 State of the City Address in a series of speeches to be held in each ward, taking the message to the residents to emphasize the important role each community and individual plays in the progress Jersey City is making.
The speech, the final of his first term in office, will highlight administration results, which have included stable taxes for three years, bringing the police department to over 900 officers for the first time in 20 years, investment in areas off the waterfront, and the creation of more affordable housing than any prior administration.
