FREE Shuttle takes hotel guests to locations within a 3 mile radius of the hotel
JERSEY CITY, NJ (August 10, 2010) – The Westin Jersey City Newport, located just 10 minutes from downtown Manhattan, has just announced a new service for its business travel guests that will help them save time and money – a complimentary shuttle service. The hotel’s new shuttle service now operates, 7 a.m. – 9.a.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily, and drives guests to meeting destinations within a three mile radius of the hotel including, Exchange Place and Harborside Financial area. The hotel’s shuttle is branded with a Westin logo making it instantly recognizable to guests.

At a recent Bayonne City Council meeting Gail Godesky Publicity Chairwoman & Sponsorship Chair for the American Cancer Society’s -Relay for Life addressed the Bayonne City Council in asking for the fee to be waived for the use of Ahern’s Veteran Stadium in Bayonne for the 201o Bayonne Relay For Life -which is tentatively scheduled for June 11- 12th, 2010
In her address to the Bayonne City Council, Ms. Godesky had this to say after addressing each of the council-members in attendance…
“My name is Gail Godesky; I am born and raised in a great city-Bayonne. As some of you know my sister Lori Starke passed away at 49 years old on February 22nd, 2008 and my mom Lorraine Godesky at the age of 77 passed away February 17th, 2009 from the terrible disease we call cancer for lack of a better word and from a disease that kills and not quietly but rather angrily.
Cancer shows no preference-it has struck old, young, mothers, father’s, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and dear friends.

Liberty Humane Society is thrilled to announce that they will be hosting their first singles event – “Single, Mingle, Bark!” It will be held on Friday, May 1 from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m at the Liberty Science Center! All singles and dogs welcome!
Cost for pre-registration will be $25 and $30 at the door. There will be wine tasting and light fare (nibbles), music and a silent auction. All proceeds from the event and the silent auction will benefit LHS and the Liberty Science Center.
This will be a great way to meet other single, dog lovers – though you don’t need to be single. Dress code is casual and will be held rain or shine.
