“Made in Jersey City” Day Apirl 28th, First Annual Event Hosted by Jersey City and Jersey City Economic Development Corporation

Event Will Showcase Products and Designs Made in Jersey City;
Special Opening Ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy announced that the City of Jersey City and the Jersey City Economic Development Corporation, will present the First Annual “Made in Jersey City” Day on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Ten Jersey City businesses will display their products and designs at an exhibition in the City Hall Rotunda and Council Chambers at 280 Grove Street from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mayor Healy, members of the Municipal Council and others will officially kick-off the event with a special ceremony

Artist Ron English, Jason Maloney and Bigfoot kick off work on New Mural in Downtown, Jersey City

Downtown Jersey City got a splash of color on Tuesday when artists Jason Maloney, Bigfoot and Ron English kicked off work on a new mural at Hudson County Art Supply. This project, the first in a proposed series of murals to be painted by well-known local and national artists throughout the city, is part of a citizen effort to make the municipality a destination for contemporary art.
