MARIST STUDENTS EXCEL IN KOREAN ESSAY CONTEST

Marist High School recently had forty students participate in a nationwide essay contest on Korean history and culture. The contest was sponsored by the Korean Spirit and Cultural Promotion Project of Flushing, New York. Entries were received fram as far away as Virginia and Idaho. Pictured are Sophomore Stephanie Velez. Third Place, and Freshman Christian Alvarado and Sophomore Erica Maullion first and second Honorable mention. The winners chose stories from Chung Hyo Ye which are tales of filial devotion, loyalty, and respect from the history and folklore of Korea.

Season Two of Bi-Weekly Show airs Tri-State Area Students Video Productions

 

Marist video photoBETHPAGE, N.Y., December 18, 2012 – MSG Varsity’s High School Life, a student-produced monthly show, that presents student created videos and features ranging from academics to art to events, will feature a video production by Marist High School senior Tyler Rana titled Senior Fall Trip to Washington D.C. The Marist segment is one of ten that will appear in the upcoming episode of High School Life, which will air on Saturday, December 22, at 12:00 p.m. on MSG Varsity, Optimum TV channel 14.

Bayonne’s Marist High School Seniors in the Focus program visit FDU

Go to Marist… Go to College, well for some Marist Students this may happen sooner than they think! On Wednesday, November 14th Ms. Eisenmenger a Counselor at Marist High School took all of the Marist Seniors in the Focus Program to Farleigh Dickinson University (FDU).

Marist High School’s Focus education program is designed for students of average and above average intelligence that have been diagnosed with a specific learning difference and have an IEP.  This program is unique in its design and is the only one of its kind among Catholic schools in this area. Marist High School Announces Information Night

On Tuesday, October 23rd at 7:00pm SHARP, Marist High School invites parents and students in 7th and 8th grade to attend its Information Night. Marist’s Information Night provides a unique look into this outstanding Catholic college preparatory high school located in Bayonne, NJ.

The Information Night will give prospective students and their parents an inside look into the Marist High School family.  Marist High School is devoted to the development of the “whole” student.
