ArtHouse Gallery Presents the 6th Edition of our Affordable Art Show

December 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 from 1 pm to 6 pm 

A JC Fridays Event

Art House Productions (Executive Artistic Director Meredith Burns and Gallery Director Andrea McKenna) are excited to present our 6th edition of the Affordable Art Show! 

“The Affordable Art Show gets bigger and better every year, and I can’t wait to unveil the 300-plus works from 84 artists! There is something for everyone, so come out and support local artists by gifting a loved one or yourself with one of the many treasures. The artwork prices range from $25 to $500. It’s going to be a wonderful and festive event this December that you don’t want to miss,” says Andrea McKenna, Art House Gallery Director.

Hours for the show are:

-Friday, December 1st from 5 pm to 9 pm (JC Fridays Opening Reception)

-Saturday, December 2, from 1 pm to 9 pm (Reception beginning at 5 pm)

Mayor Steven M. Fulop joins the Office of Cultural Affairs and Art Fair 14C Executive Director Robinson Holloway to announce the premier of Jersey City Art Week – a new partnership between Jersey City’s largest visual arts events.

The Jersey City Art and Studio Tour (JCAST) and Art Fair 14C are joining forces to host concurrent events in October, creating a super-sized visual arts experience that will showcase Jersey City’s vibrant arts and culture scene.  Jersey City Art Week will attract local, national, and international artists to Jersey City alongside fine art exhibitors.

ART CRAWL TONIGHT FEBRUARY 9,2023

Tonight the Powerhouse Arts District of Jersey City hosts the Art Crawl Downtown, with art exhibitions and open studios with unique opportunities for art lovers, as well as discounted food and beverages from our partners: The Canopy Bar & Bistro, Downtown Yogurt and Two Boots Pizza.

INAUGURAL AWARDS CELEBRATION HONORS JERSEY CITY ARTISTS & ARTS ORGANIZATIONS

November 18, 2018, Jersey City, NJ – Jersey City Arts Council honors excellence and impact in the Arts with a celebration at White Eagle Hall, 337 Newark Avenue on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. A City-Wide, All-Day Celebration of Art & Culture in Jersey City

JC FRIDAYS

 Winter is quickly approaching, and Art House’s JC Fridays December 1st, 2017, will kick off the season with 25 exciting visual and performing arts events! Come out and celebrate with this city-wide festival on Friday, December 1, 2017. Restaurants, galleries, stores, and event spaces throughout Jersey City will showcase a variety of art-related happenings including visual exhibitions, live music, performance acts, educational demonstrations, and more. All events are free and open to the public. As one of the preeminent art scenes in the tri-state area, Jersey City is abound with artists of all types, musicians, and individuals with unique talent; JC Fridays is one of the best times for them to share their newest projects and works. Held quarterly, thousands of residents pour out to experience these artists’ latest works and to revel in the joy art brings to the community.

Some highlights include (a complete list of events follows):

  • ART—6pm-10pm EONTA SPACE presents “Isabelle Garbani’s Mass Suicide.” Isabelle Garbani’s Mass Suicide, an environmental installation of consumerist by-products brought by the public to Eonta Space, and fashioned into a jungle of ropes (the most common of suicidal implements) reminds us to think long term about the wellbeing of our planet. On October 14th and 15th, more than 200 art events will take place across the city, featuring the artwork of more than 500 artists; The weekend includes curated tours where visitors can explore artists’ studios, discover new galleries, enjoy performing arts or one of the city’s 100 outdoor murals 

 

JERSEY CITY – Mayor Steven M. Fulopthe Jersey City Municipal Council and the Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs are pleased to present the 27th Annual Jersey City Art & Studio Tour (JCAST) on October 14th and 15th, 2017, where more than 160 artist studios, galleries, museums, art markets and other art-activated spaces across Jersey City will be inviting the public in to enjoy and purchase art in all forms of media. The second largest city in New Jersey and most diverse city in the nation, Jersey City is a widely considered the arts destination of the state.
