Mayor Healy Announces that Health Department Will Begin Citywide Distribution of H1N1 Vaccine

Vaccine will be distributed for free and on a first-come, first-serve basis

Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy and the Department of Health and Human Services announced today the citywide distribution schedule for the H1N1 vaccination. Any and all residents wishing to get the H1N1 vaccination will be able to do so at the below indicated clinics, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Since November, the city Health Department, in conjunction with the Board of Education, has been administering the H1N1 vaccination to our city public schools’ population. The Health Department has also been offering the vaccination at its headquarters at 201 Cornelison Avenue for high-risk individuals.

“The Center for Disease Control continues to recommend that individuals receive the H1N1 vaccination and especially those people who are in the high-risk category,” said Mayor Healy. “We hope that as many people as possible will avail themselves of this free service.”
