–Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy  announced today that the Mayor’s Action Bureau will be extending the deadline to register for the  Mayor’ Annual Toy Drive.

Parents and guardians will be able to register in person at City hall from  10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012.

 

“This holiday season could see hardship we have not seen in years due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy,” said  Mayor Healy. “The generosity of individuals and corporate sponsors continues to help ease this burden and bring a little cheer to those who desperately need it.”

Open to Jersey City residents only, registration is required with the child’s birth certificate and proper ID. Residents register with the Mayor’s Action Bureau, located in City Hall, 280 Grove Street, Room 105.

The Mayor’s Action Bureau will distribute these gifts to pre-registered parents who are unable to purchase gifts for their children (ages one to ten years old) on

Tuesday, December 18, 2012.

Those wishing to donate new toys for ages 1-10 years of age, should bring their donations to the Mayor’s Action Bureau, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donations will be accepted until Friday, December 14, 2012.
