Hudson County Community College Welcomes Actor, Producer, and Director Giancarlo Esposito 

The star of the TV dramas ‘Revolution’ and ‘Breaking Bad’ will speak at the College on Thursday evening, November 13th.

 

Giancarlo Esposito  source IMDBThe acclaimed actor, producer and director, Giancarlo Esposito will speak at Hudson County Community College this Thursday evening, November 13th. The event will be held at 6 p.m. in the Scott Ring Room of the College’s Culinary Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Transportation Center.

The event is open to the entire Hudson County Community and there is no charge for admission.

Mr. Esposito is currently starring in the NBC hit drama, “Revolution,” where he plays Major Tom Neville. He is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Gus Fring on “Breaking Bad.” His portrayal of that character won him a 2012 Critics Choice Award as well as a 2012 Emmy nomination. Mr. Esposito also appeared on “Community,” “Once Upon a Time,” “Homicide: Life on the Streets,” Law and Order,” to name a just a few of the television programs on his resume

Mr. Esposito’s film role credits include parts in “Rabbit Hole,” “The Usual Suspects,” “Alex Cross,” “Sherry Baby,” “Waiting to Exhale,” and “Fresh,” which earned him a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award.

He also has significant theater experience and won Obie awards for his work in “Zooman and the Sign,” and “Distant Fires.” Broadway theatergoers will also remember him being in Debbie Allen’s rendition of “Cat on a Hot Tim Roof,” which also featured James Earl Jones, Terrence Howard and Phylicia Rashad. Among his other Broadway credits are “Sacrilege,” “Seesaw,” “Merrily We Roll Along,” and “Lost in the Stars.”

Quiet Hand Productions, Mr. Esposito’s production company, aspires to make “conscious content” films that focus on the inspirational. He made his directorial debut with the company’s film, “Gospel Hill,” and has several projects currently in development.

Mr. Esposito is a member of the board of the arts and advocacy group Creative Coalition, and he lends his support to the Waterkeeper Alliance, and to Kids for Peace & World Merit USA.
